Urgent: Calling All Bands, Event Managers, Record Labels, Instrument Stores and Recording Studios

We at Split Magazine are in the process of building an archive of just about everything related to Indian rock music, and we need your help. If you’re in a band (or know someone in a band), or work at an event management company, record label, instrument store or recording studio anywhere in the country, here’s what we need from you:

For bands/solo artists:
Send us a detailed, accurate and up-to-date profile of yourself/your band. When we say detailed, we mean detailed — everything from when the band was formed, a history of the band, all the musicians and other important people who’ve been involved with the band, a list of all concerts you’ve performed at (if possible), any albums or EPs, Web sites — you get the idea. Include at least two decent photographs of the band.

For event management companies involved with rock music in India:
Send us a detailed profile of your company and a list of services you offer, along with information about any Indian rock shows that you’ve organised.

For record labels, recording studios and instrument stores:
Send us a detailed profile of your company, along with a list of services you offer. (Record labels: Include a list of albums and bands that are on your label.)
